Plot/Synopsis/Review
Ping, a young nobleman, wants to learn how to master the mysterious drum called Perng Mang which is said to have been made by the skin of a beautiful woman named Thip. He becomes a student of Master Duang who teaches him everything he can. It seems as if everything is going great, he’s even met a beautiful girl who he’s fallen in love with. But what he doesn’t know is that the drum isn’t just an instrument of music, it’s also an instrument of death.

Plot/Synopsis
At one point in TROPICAL MALADY, a woman tells the principle characters a traditional Thai story about ghosts and greed, and mentions the TV show WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE in the next breath. It\’s precisely that kind of disjunction that fuels this film from maverick director Apichatpong Weerasethakul (MYSTERIOUS OBJECT AT NOON), who divides his tale into two sharply-contrasted halves that suggest genre codes while defying them. Plot/Synopsis

In the ancient time before Land of Siam was born, there was the time when armies of invaders came to colonize the land and were mercilessly massacring population. One priest secretly gathered drawings of many animals from all over the world. He bonded the drawings in to a book with great supernatural powers. Then he gave the book to two headman of one Thai tribe to use these drawings to tattoo on his people and fight the invaders.
