Synopsis :
After fighting with her nemesis, Saint Android Ryuga, Mahoro returns to Misato Suguru’s side as his trustworthy maid. Soon after, a mysterious, clumsy girl appears, revealing herself as a runaway android from the secret organization known as Management. Taking her into their home and supplying her with the name Minawa, Suguru gains yet another maid while Mahoro gains a little sister. But as the days of Mahoro’s ever shortening lifespan ticks away, the trio will be inevitably drawn into the looming events that will pull them into the final battles in the war between Saint and what remains of Vesper.

Synopsis :
In the hidden war against the Saint, mankind has been saved countless times by an android named Mahoro. After her latest battle, Mahoro discovers that if she stays in her full battle mode, she has a limited time of life left to her. If her armaments are removed, Mahoro has a new lease on life and the freedom to live them as she pleases, at least for 398 days. So what’s an android with a little over a year left to do? Enter Suguru, a young orphan, who hires Mahoro on as a maid. Poor Suguru has no idea about Mahoro’s past life, or her deep connection to him. But he’s not one to complain as Mahoro moves in causing suspicion from his friends, and jealousy from his home-room teacher. Now Suguru just has to decide if his beautiful 19-year old maid is really an android!

Dallae (Lee Da-hae) is a single mom who isn’t picky about her food, laughs a lot and is a loyal friend. After graduating from high school, she meets Tae-oh, a handsome mountain climber, while working in a local bank in Pyeong-chang. She follows Tae-oh to Seoul to get married. She becomes pregnant. But even before the baby is born, Tae-oh is killed in a freak accident in the mountains. Dallae ends up living with her mother-in-law, Tae-oh’s mother, and her pretty baby daughter. One day, her mother-in-law, Sun-sum, forces her to go on a blind date. She’s shocked to find an elderly man as her date and rushes out, causing a car accident. The owner of the car is O-jun (Jang Hyeok), a former boxer who quit because he didn’t want to mess up his pretty face. Instead, he is masquerading as a fund manager, living off women. To make things worse, he has debts to pay off set on by his sister who is married to an abusive husband. Dallae proves to be a new target for him. But strangely enough, this unsophisticated girl isn’t at all interested in him, which makes him want to seek true love in her.

Plot/Synopsis
Three digital shorts drawn from the 2009 Jeonju International Film Festival in South Korea. Hong Sang-soo (Woman on the Beach) directed the slyly humorous Lost in the Mountains, in which a young writer from Seoul impulsively drives to Jeonju, rekindles an affair with an old professor, and as a result upends her relationships with two close friends. Naomi Kawase’s wispy, allusive Koma follows a Japanese-Korean man on his journey to the legendary Mount Miwa region, where he’s drawn to an ethereal beauty. And in Lav Diaz’s sluggishly paced, poorly acted Butterflies Have No Memories, shot in 4:3 mode and in his trademark B&W, is about an affluent Canadian who encounters social unrest after returning to her declining hometown in the Philippines.
An excellent compilation of shorts marred only by Lav Diaz’s Butterfly Have No Memories submission and dreadful acting by his usual ensemble of actors. The only bright spot is that you don’t have to sit through eight hours of nonsense that over-rated director Diaz presents.

Plot/Synopsis
One day Mr Sugiyama sees a beautiful girl leaning out of the window of a dancing acadamy. he is fascinated by her and
eventually signs up for dancing lessons. He is ashamed of his dancing and afraid of ridicule. He hides the fact that he
is attending dancing classes from his colleagues and family.
There is a hilarious scene in the mensroom at the office when Sugiyama and Watanabe, a workmate who also dances, are
interrupted practising some dance steps. There are many other funny and warm-hearted scenes.
The ending is not a fairytale, but it leaves the viewer feeling good.
This movie helped me to understand the Japanese people a little better. It is a warm and very worthwhile film to see.
