Plot/Synopsis :
Blowing like a wind and a cloud, a blue-eyed female ninja with a painful destiny has arrived!

A blue-eyed ninja, Hijiri, is a fierce and cold-blooded assassin. She encounters a thief after the scroll of esoteric immortality from the treasure house of a Christian daimyo, Rokusha, and she gets into a sword fight with him. In the close battle, she is wounded, but is rescued by a Christian named Seitaro, and they begin falling for each other. But her happy days don’t last. Plot/Synopsis :
In 1971, Koji Wakamatsu and Masao Adachi, both having ties to the Japanese Red Army, stopped in Palestine on their way home from the Cannes festival. There they caught up with notorious JRA ex-pats Fusako Shigenobu (see “Jasmine on the Muzzle,” Bidoun 17 Flowers) and Mieko Toyama in training camps to create a newsreel-style agit-prop film based off of the “landscape theory” (fûkeiron) that Adachi and Wakamatsu had developed. The theory, most evident at work in A.K.A. Serial Killer (1969), aimed to move the emphasis of film from situations to landscapes as expression of political and economical power relations.

In 1974 Adachi left Japan and committed himself to the Palestinian Revolution and linked up with the Japan Red Army. His activities thereafter were not revealed until he was arrested and imprisoned in 1997 in Lebanon. In 2001 Adachi was extradited to Japan, and after two years of imprisonment, he was released and subsequently published Cinema/Revolution [Eiga/Kakumei], an auto-biographical account of his life.

Synopsis:
A love story between a Sengoku general (Tsuyoshi Kusanagi) and a young princess (Yui Aragaki).

Matabe Ijiri is the tough general of the small region known as Kasuga in Sengoku-era Japan. His nickname is “Ijiri,” which means literally ghost and he strikes fear in many people. Matabe is in love with with the Princess Renheme, who also shares feelings for Matabe, but because of their class differences never acts upon their feelings.

One day, Matabe is engaged in a battle, but loses concentration. He is about to be killed when a mysterious young boy named Shinichi Kawakami appears out of nowhere and ends up saving Matabe’s life. Matabe is then ordered by Princess Renheme to take care of the young boy and eventually a friendship grows between Matabe and Shinichi. Meanwhile, an arrange marriage is about to take place between Princess Renheme & the damiyo of Kitaganto (a much larger region than Kusaga).

Prior to their marriage, the parents of young Shinichi arrive looking for their missing son. Shinichi’s father Akira warns that in the future Kasuga doesn’t exist. Because of this, Yasutsuna (Princess Renheme’s father) calls off the marriage between Princess Renheme and Itakatora Ohkura. Itakator Ohkura doesn’t take kindly to the news and sends in massive troops to crush the smaller region of Kasuga. When Matabe Ijiri heroically leads Kasuga’s smaller army to fend off their much larger invaders, Princess Renheme promises to Matabe that if he comes back alive they will marry …
