Synopsis:
Seven days of adventure in an apartment building.
A quiet middle-class apartment is the scene. Yoon-ju is a college lecturer with plenty of time on his hands. He gets annoyed at the sound of barking and tries to find out where it’s coming from. By coincidence, he discovers a dog in front of his neighbor’s door. He feels instinctively that it was the culprit and kidnaps the dog to lock it in the basement. On another front, Hyun-nam, a secretary in the apartment superintendent’s office, is bored to tears with her uneventful life. The same day, she is passing the time with a crossword puzzle when a little girl comes in with a notice for a lost dog. Hyun-nam, suddenly animated, starts putting up notices all over the neighborhood without being asked. However, more and more dogs start disappearing. Then one day, Hyun-nam gets a pair of binoculars from her friend at a local store. She goes up on the apartment roof and withnesses a man killing a dog on the rooftop across from her.

Plot/Synopsis
Would-be feminist Yoanna, running her own company, is insulted in a phone booth by a stranger named Yong-ho. While searching for a job, Yong-ho applies to a magazine named “The Modern Woman,” not knowing that the company’s boss is in fact Yoanna. She hires him with the intention of paying back the humiliation she received. But his masculine attitude captivates her and she ends up marrying him. She resigns her post and becomes a housekeeper, handing over the company to her husband.

Plot/Synopsis
Three digital shorts drawn from the 2009 Jeonju International Film Festival in South Korea. Hong Sang-soo (Woman on the Beach) directed the slyly humorous Lost in the Mountains, in which a young writer from Seoul impulsively drives to Jeonju, rekindles an affair with an old professor, and as a result upends her relationships with two close friends. Naomi Kawase’s wispy, allusive Koma follows a Japanese-Korean man on his journey to the legendary Mount Miwa region, where he’s drawn to an ethereal beauty. And in Lav Diaz’s sluggishly paced, poorly acted Butterflies Have No Memories, shot in 4:3 mode and in his trademark B&W, is about an affluent Canadian who encounters social unrest after returning to her declining hometown in the Philippines.
An excellent compilation of shorts marred only by Lav Diaz’s Butterfly Have No Memories submission and dreadful acting by his usual ensemble of actors. The only bright spot is that you don’t have to sit through eight hours of nonsense that over-rated director Diaz presents.

Synopsis :

Synopsis :
Chuno is an epic historical drama that is one of the highest rated series in 2010 in South Korea, and which has already found much success internationally.
