Plot/Sypnosis:
Yoo Sungjoon (Yu Jun-sang) has just arrived in Seoul from the countryside and tells us through voiceover that he’s just passing through and that he’s going to see a friend and take it easy. But we, knowing that this is a Hong Sang-soo film, know better. In Seoul, Sungjoon, an erstwhile filmmaker, runs into a curious cast of characters: some old colleagues, fans he doesn’t remember the names of, collaborators who want nothing to do with him, strange women who clearly like him, waitresses who look like ex-lovers. And of course there will be drinking. And sex. And tears. And awkwardness that shows how quickly men will crack when properly inebriated and when placed in the same room together.

Plot/Sypnosis:
Anqing, Anhui province, southern China. On 6 Jul 1907, revolutionary Xu Xilin (Dennis To), a member of the anti-Manchu Guangfuhui (Restoration Society), assassinates a Manchu official but is captured. Gui Fu (Lam Suet), another Manchu official, is assigned to arrest poet and feminist Qiu Jin (Crystal Huang), an associate of Xu Xilin, at her home-cum-training school in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. Qiu Jin refuses to flee with her pupils and is only prevented from being killed by Manchu captain Ao Feng (Xiong Xinxin) thanks to the intervention of county magistrate Li Zhonghua (Anthony Wong), whose progressive wife, Wu Zhiying (Pat Ha), is a close friend of Qiu Jin. At her trial, Li functions as her defence counsel, but is unable to prevent her being executed. During her trial, torture and imprisonment, Qiu Jin recalls her past life: refusing to have her feet bound as a child, her education and physical training like a man, her rescue of a mute slave-girl (Rose Chan), her arranged marriage to the conservative Wang Tingjun (Kevin Cheng), leaving her two children to pursue studies at Tokyo’s Waseda University, and her return to China as a convinced revolutionary to work alongside Xu Xilin.

In this sequel to the highly successful and much appreciated “Munnabhai MBBS”, the affable goon Murli Prasad Sharma aka Munna and his trusted aide Circuit are employed by Lucky Singh who’s an unscrupulous builder . Munna is in love with the voice of a radio jockey named Jahnvi . He gets to meet her in person after winning a radio contest, and decides to learn about Mahatma Gandhi’s life and principles to win her heart. But then something happens which is quite inexplicable: Munna begins to see Mahatma Gandhi in person, who wants to help him. Later, when Jahnvi’s house is seized by the corrupt Lucky Singh, Munna embarks upon using Gandhi’s principles of truth and non-violence to bring about a change in Lucky Singh’s heart. The film was generally well-received by both critics and the mass audience. It was a box office success and was elevated to a “blockbuster” rating, after grossing over Rs. 720 million. It is the recipient of a number of awards, including four National Film Awards Lage Raho Munna Bhai is the first Hindi film to be shown at the United Nations and also played to a packed house of mostly French students who “clapped till the credits were finished” during the Tous Les Cinema du Monde section of the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.The Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, praised the film, stating that it “captures Bapu’s message about the power of truth and humanism.”
