Synopsis:

Despite his mother’s objections, 17-year-old Xu Yun (Xu Yun) decides to leave his small village to find his father who left home years ago. Rumors are his father has made it big in the city, but the family hasn’t heard from him beyond the occasional money he sends back. Their village is being evacuated soon because of flood warnings and a government dam project, and Xu Yun is determined to bring his wayward father back home where he belongs. Heading out on foot with no money and two geese in a basket, Xu Yun is brutally introduced to the perils of the city, from thieves and swindlers to gangs and apathetic police officers. Trying to locate his father in this urban jungle will be no easy task, and the man Xu Yun finds in the end may not be whom he expects.
