South Korea in the past. Im Kwon-taek takes a look into political and economical affairs of south part of freshly divided country. Narration follows Choi Tae-woong (Cho Seung-woo) - little thug, who starts as a highschool gang-leader to build up his whole life around shady gang-political world. The movie starts in late 50’s finishing mid 70’s and tells us how cynically ruthless person has to be to survive in continously changing, politically unstable country. Even gangster requires some stability and people to trust, but how hard it gets, when even CIA’s boss future is unclear ? There’s not a single rule in this game…
