Life has been hard for poor Chol-Min. Forced to brave the trials of this world without the loving sanctuary of a Mother’s embrace; he and his Police Detective father cope with one another’s presence as best they can.
Early on in life Chol-Min is given the moniker of Ddong gae, a Korean slang term commonly used to refer to a mongrel dog or mutt, based on his stray, wandering ways, and his simple and innocent doggy demeanor. Much like a stray animal Chol-Min aimlessly wanders through this picture from one encounter to another, establishing friendships and enemies along the way.

In the repressive palace, where women remain nothing but shadows in time, I hoped to show that court ladies, too, struggled with uncontrollable, natural desires and ambitions.
By showing how they had to cast aside and destroy themselves, I wanted people to experience the unrest, insecurity, and fundamental fear that people forced to live according to social prejudice must feel. Likewise, as we struggle to survive in the midst of millions of people but are eventually weeded out and forgotten, we too may be living in a modern day dark ‘palace’ much like the court ladies.

Cha Tae Hyun has made a comeback with KBS May Drama ” I came searching for flowers”. This will be his first drama in three years after “Prince’s first love” in 2004.
Here, he’ll be playing Yoon Ho-Sang, a simple minded and humorous man who works in a funeral parlor. Although he has better personality and looks than the average person, things are never going smoothly for him and he is rather unlucky. He thinks that all of these are because of money.
Kang Hye Jung who has been selected as his co-star, will be playing Na Ha-Na, a girl who has been witnessing lots of death and dying around her since she was young as her dad is the owner of the funeral parlor. Because of it, she becomes unfeeling towards sadness and death. But her attitude towards life begins to change when she encounters Yoon Ho-Sang.
